If today was March 28, 2005 yes I would have purchased a set of blank tapes to record the show but

Since it's 2015 the answer is no

Default Antenna uses 21-22 min syndicated cuts.

I DVR'ed the first 2 eps last night from Antenna TV (the show comes on at 8pm where I live. Antenna TV has one nationwide feed.) Episode 1 clocked in at just over 21 mins., episode 2 ~22.

And these episodes had a "Columbia Tristar Television Distribution" logo at the end, so I wonder how Antenna TV got old pre-2002 syndicated prints of the show? Maybe because of Antenna TV's flagship affiliate being WGN 9 in Chicago; both Antenna and WGN are owned by Tribune Broadcasting. WGN also used to show ODAAT in syndication back in the '80s then up to 1991 from what I've been able to find.

Sony, it seems, distributes 21-22 min. cuts of its classic shows like the Norman Lear 1970s shows. In contrast, Fox gave Antenna TV full length (albeit with music edits) episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati.

For now I'd prefer watching ODAAT S1 on DVD and then reluctantly DVR season 2 & later episodes from Antenna.

Antenna TV has all the local syndicated cuts for every show on their schedule.

But not WKRP. I wonder why that is. Maybe different distributors having different syndication policies?

Not sure I was always the under the impression that Antenna TV aired all local edits for any show on their schedule.

I'm so jealous of all you guys that can get Antenna TV. I really hope ODAAT gets a complete series DVD set released soon. I really want to finally be able to see all of this series!

Looks like #4 was too.

And I'm assuming last night's (Thursday) was the first one with the different (more conventional) title font? Wonder why they changed it?

Btw, welcome to the forum.

I do notice that the original distributors are not included. In other words, whoever distributed the show back in 1975, isnt distributed in 2015. Also, has anyone noticed that Antenna TV takes commercial breaks at the wrong times? I dont know if this is happening for ODAAT but Antenna TV does seem to take breaks at the wrong times and I think edits scenes when they come back from commercial. Do you see this or is it just me?

Yeah I mentioned this for other shows, going to a commercial when someone is talking

It is too bad that my local area does NOT have the Antenna TV channel, or I would have gotten the chance to watch the One Day at a Time reruns, too, The fact that I will never get over the fact that ODaaT hasn't aired on TV Land, and likely never will, because TV Land is really terrible, and Hot in Cleveland (starring Valerie Bertinelli) is already ending its run, is really not going to help matters, either.

TV Land is no longer needed for Classic TV with the emergence of digital TV and netflix

Plus one day at a time is probably being recorded by someone so if it stays on Antenna TV long enough you maybe able to request it on the Trading board
