For example, I think I've seen a poll for "name your favourite 80s sitcom" come up at least once a month, if not more. With new people joining every day, are all these old extra pages really necessary ?

With new people joining every day, some repeat topics are unavoidable. How are new people supposed to know what topics have already been discussed? I suppose they could use the search engine to search for old topics but I'm sure it's easier to just start a fresh thread.
I'm not sure how it affects or concerns you if old threads (going back over 2 years) are archived. You are probably not going to read 15-20 pages back. It's really only my concern, and I don't pay any more to keep all the threads so there is no point in deleting them. |
