I bought the German (region 2) release since most episodes are uncut, compared to the US edition. One reviewer said he was trying to use his region 1 (US) set in his region 4 country, which makes me believe the "complete" series is the syndicated cut-up version that has nothing new compared to the 2005 original. My instinct suggests you hold off, if you haven't purchased already.
