I was recently watching the episode "All I Want For Christmas." One of the plots was trying to get Howard and his brother Dick to patch up a 16 year rift in their relationship. Apparently Howard began resenting his older brother telling him the "best" way to do things and that Howard was always wrong; especially when Howard said that Joe DiMaggio was a better player than Ted Williams.
There was a point where Howard mentions that he did look up to his older brother and wanted his advice when he was younger but didn't need his advice as he got older. Although it wasn't mentioned, there was evidence of just how much Howard thought of his older brother. Howard's brother was named Dick - usually a nickname for Richard and Howard named his 2nd son (Yes I'm counting Chuck) Richard. Just an odd bit of continuity that caught my attention. |
