Default Furley didn't have a TV guide?

he said that you can't follow the Brady Bunch when you miss the beginning so couldn't have had just looked to see what the episode was about?

And why was he acting like it was a new show when the **** was off the air for 7 years lol

Just remember to keep in mind that the show was intended as farce so the writing wasn't as sophisticated as modern shows today. Back then it was just a silly sitcom to make audiences laugh and forget their troubles for 30 minutes.

I think that's just a time when you're supposed to laugh at what the writers wrote.

Who's to say Furley had a TV Guide? Who's to say the TV Guide would have listed syndicated Brady Bunch episode and would have provided a description?

Well the joke that Furley thinks if he misses the beginning of Brady Bunch that he can't follow it could be interpreted to mean that he's not very bright.

Yeah, seeing as how the whole plot of the Brady Bunch is handed to you in the intro song. Definitely a joke.
