Question The Marijuana Connection?

In Growing Up Brady, Barry mentioned that he once (yeah, right) smoked marijuana and then unexpectedly had to go down to the set to shoot a Brady Bunch scene later the same day.

The scene involved him doing something with his bike in the driveway and then his parents pull up in the car, I think. Did this scene ever air? If so, which episode? I don't recall ever seeing the scene.

I have to take Barry Williams for his word on this one. I used to watch the Brady Bunch when it was on network telivision back in the early 70s. But to tell you the truth if he were high on Marijuana, one would not be able to tell the difference, because they all seemed a little giddy to me.

One would think he was just happy to be living in his perfectly little Brady world!

The episode in question is #79, "Law and Disorder", whose primary plot was Bobby being named safety monitor at school (and developing a huge ego!).

This was well described in Chapter 17, "One Toke Over the Line", of Growing Up Brady.

Oops, I submitted that post too early! The scene Barry aka Greg had to be in in "Law and Disorder" was when the Bradys got that boat and Greg, in the driveway, commented "You didn't say anything about getting a boat, Dad."

You can also remember the chapter if you remember the early 1970s rock band Brewer and Shipley, a one hit wonder.

He looks high to me in that scene! When he gets up to look at the boat he trips over his bicycle pump. Then when he's talking to Mike he has this even-goofier-than-usual grin plastered on his face. One of my favorite Brady moments ever!

I'll have to ask my brother about how plausible that is. He's an expert on the effects of marijuana. It got him out of Air Force bootcamp!

They discussed this last year on TVland's Confidential. Barry was on there and discussed this and they showed the scene where he was high. They kept playing it over and over.

Oops, my bad, this thread is over 5 years old. Nevermind. I think there is an up-dated thread on this topic already.
