Default Pushed to Second Page

Once upon a time, I posted a thread called "An End in Itself". Like most of my threads, this one got no replies. It has been close to a year since I posted another thread titled "Approaching the Hundred Mark". This is one of the rather small minority of threads started by me that managed to generate some responses. The purpose of the second thread was to commemorate the fact that my "An End in Itself" thread had ninety-nine views and zero replies. In order to understand the situation you have to know that my first thread pertained to the third-season episode "Samantha's Protest" and I brought this topic back to the surface in the second thread. Because that episode was shown on Channel 11 Wednesday Morning, I thought that I would try to stimulate some conversation by bringing the second thread to the top of the page. When I was unsuccessful in getting any new replies, I started three more threads. The first two were also loosely related to "Samantha's Protest" and the third was about something a little bit different. So far, none of them have generated any replies. At this stage in the game, my "An End in Itself" thread is at the very bottom of this page. In yet another attempt to stimulate some conversation, I decided to write about the fact that, after I post this thread, that one will be pushed to the second page of this section!

That is because this is about a topic that is quite a bit different than anything that I have written about before and also different from any posts that I have written by anyone else.

"Meryl in Boots" is the thread that I started that is right below this one. It is about a situation in which the site of Meryl Streep in a pair of boots really made me drool! However, you would have to read the thread in its entirety in order the understand the context in which it was posted and its relationship to "Gimme a Break!".

With all due respect, the reason no one replies to your threads is because they make absolutely no sense and they repeat themselves over and over ...and no one cares about "Samantha's protest" or how anyone looks in boots or tight pants.

What makes sense and what does not make sense is all in the eye of the beholder.

Once again, with all due respect, the only problem is your eye is the ONLY one it makes sense to. That's why no one replies.

Well, I am happy to see that we at least have some conversation being stimulated about something.

I also feel a little weirded out by the constant references IN EVERY SINGLE THREAD to a 2-second bit of dialog in the "protest" episode.

I just realized that this is the same poster who swooped down into every single GAB clip on youtube to talk about how the "gogo boots" in the "Rejection" episode inspired his lifelong crush. I could be on Youtube watching a clip from an episode about Grandpa, and then there's smartboy (using a name with initials A.P. on youtube), blathering on and on about those gogo boots from an episode IN A DIFFERENT SEASON. Damn, give it a rest.
