What Strange or Odd Dreams Have You Had? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok Guys,

This is gonna be a doosey! I majored in Sociology in college but was also into a lot of Psychology classes and very interested in strange dreams that people had that just stick out in your mind and don't go away. In addition to my "Scary Movie" trama with Mary Poppins (see my "scary movie post for details) as a child, I always had recurring dreams where as a little kid, I'd be playing in my bedroom or basement and the back of my hair would get all tingly and hot and I would look behind me, and this "creature" who would look like a big rectanglar paper bag with a big black square for a mouth would say something to me in a deep menacing voice! (Swear this is true) He always would say a phrase with the word "sad" in it with a deep husky laugh...... It would be something like, "Aren't you sad today" and then he would point to the floor and a big black hole would open up, and I would try to scream and never could. Sometimes my parents would be in the background but they would never help, and this "thing" would push me into a bottomless pit, and I would be falling....falling...falling and then I'd
wake up!

The second odd dream that I would have as a kid would be, I would be in my room (or any other room with a window) and I would hear 5 very loud sharp knocks "(Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom) and then this snake-like creature would come through the window and either blow hot air on me or strangle me! He would go "SSSS" "SSSSS" after the 5th knock. What's strange is I had these dreams as a kid for about 6 years! (They started at about 4, and ended about age 10) I'm 36 now and I still can recall them clear as day. It was either one of 3 dreams....Ed Wynn laughing in my face, the "paper bag sad monster", or the "Window Snake creature" I have no explanation for why these dreams kept reoccuring but man they were nightmares!

Flash forward 25-30 years, and I haven't had any real tramatic stuff. (Though I still hate Ed Wynn LOL!) last night I had a dream that wasn't scary too much, but strange!

I was on a bus with an older woman (a relative of mine) who had to get some papers to the office where she worked. (This is strange, because the woman in my dream never would go on a bus and hates downtown driving) At a stop, a hobo gets on the bus, who smells heavily of alcohol, wears tattered clothes, and a very wrinkly old face that looks like the skin is falling off in clumps. He appears to have some sort of mental impairment and he just plops himself down next to me and the woman and keeps touching me and the woman and won't stop and I'm screaming like, "Get Away you pervert!" I keep telling the older woman to get off the bus and come with me, but she has to get to the "office", so I break free from this poor sole and the guy says, "I'm coming clean, here's my gun" He hands me an old revolver and says......."GET OFF THE BUS....NOW!" So I get off the bus, this guy comes up behind me and strangles me. I have the gun in my hand, terrified I point to the sky, and one shot goes off! Somehow I break free! Instantaniously, a bunch of squad cars come up, and I am being arrested for assaulting an old man! (I have no criminal record, and am one of the nicest people around in real life) so now I am in this room, and I see this lady. (I assume, it's a holding cell at the police station...who knows) and in the dream, she is a close friend of the relative on the bus. In real life, she works in the mental health field as a consoler. (I have not seen this person in about 25 years) and I am compalining to her that the handcuffs that the police have me in are too tight...She says in a "Nurse Ratched" voice she can't loosen them, because it's against "Ward Policy" so I have to wear the handcuffs. She asks if I am hungry and offers to take me McDonalds. So she asks if I could identify the man for the police, and agrees to clear my name. So we open the door to the McDonalds and EVERYONE in there looks EXACTLY like the old guy on the bus!!! And damn, it's scary watching 80 year old people eat! They got their false teeth on that don't fit their mouth and the old geezers are chewing with their mouth open and spitting food at me and they all look alike and they are coming closer and closer to me! I scream.....and wake up!

So what strange dreams do you recall?

Well, to understand my dreams you have to know that I watch movies 24/7 and all of the books I read are biographies, mostly of Hollywood. So, anyhoo:

Let's see, the weirdest dream I ever had was I was on the beach with some of my friends. I fell down this hill, and it turned into a snowy mountain top. I got on a ski-lift thingy, and was sitting in between Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison! We were chatting for awhile before I went down the hill, landed back inside my friend's van, and we drove to school - where our classes were being taught by the Rat Pack! (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis, Jr). It was an interesting dream.

I had one where I was on vacation in London, riding one of those double-decker buses, and some jerks that I went to highschool with were there. They were acting stupid when suddenly who should come on the bus but Prince William! He sat down next to me, and we got off together. Then my mom woke me up! Figures!

I've also had a ton of dreams where I just meet people. I've met Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, Peter Lawford, Melissa Joan Heart, Dana Andrews, Doris Day, Rock Hudson, and Peter O'Toole. Probably others, just can't remember them all.

Anyone ever dream in a different language? I've dreamt in German a few times, and once I even dreamt in Russian! (I don't know how I did that - I was only in the class for three months.)

Ive had 2 dreams about drinkin 1nce i dreamed i was just drinkin beer and another time i dreamed that me and my friends were downtown and there was this store we went into and there were these drinks for like 100 bucks so we stole em and we were drinkin em cept it was alcohol and we kept stealin more and more every day it was fun but we got caught at the end

Jackie had a dream where the Grim Reaper was chasing her and Allison and they hid in the bathroom and They were in the tub...

I said to her "Jackie you sure have perverted dreams" but look who's talking...

k well last nite i dreamt i had a prob becuz i kept attacking people!! lol! i think i had it because i was watchin some movie where this guy kept attacking people be4 i went to bed. lol but it was soooo funny...my mom took me to a psychiatrist cuz she felt the problem of attacking random people was getting to severe!!! lol i woke up kinda hysterical...funniest dream ive had in a while

I had a dream I was at Band Camp and I got lost. I fell into a stream and then fish started jumping out and talking to me. I whacked them over the head with my flute but they turned like, "killer fish" and tried to bite my head off.

The strangest dream I ever had was, I was
in the crowded building, then I was going
down the escaltor, then I was in this dark long hallway and there were a ton of
doors everywhere. I had to choose one certain door, so I did. It was dark in this room and I kept walking forward, I
saw this light ahead, so I went toward it. Then I came to another door. (this is
where things become really really weird).
All of a sudden it looks like I'm in the
ocean. I'm walking under water and I feel
so safe. Everything was so beautiful, so
many beautiful colors. Then I got to bad
area, I felt so scared. I saw tons of
signs "go this way", "go back", "beware"
and etc...... Then I couldn't go any further, a wall was in my view. The wall
had a passage way or door, it opened up.
I walked inside, once again, complete darkness. By this time I was completely terrified! Then I saw it, this huge monster, but the monster was so beautiful, it looked like a rainbow. I
had to confront this monster. Next thing
I know, I'm going back up the escalator.

OK, these are three STRANGE dreams I have had that I remember:

1: When I was 6 years old, I

"The New Adventures of Winne the Pooh"..used to watch it everyday! Well, I had this dream where the Grim Reaper was after me, Winnie, and Christopher Robin. They got Christopher I think

Cause I don't remember me hiding in the cave with him, only Pooh was there with me by then....

2: This was recent. I had this dream where Joyce DeWitt was my principal...and I kept screaming at her to make up with Suzanne Somers and she slapped me! That $!$#@!% slapped me! hehehe

3: When I was 4, I watched this REALLY scary movie about a KILLER baby. No joking. He was a sorcerer or something. He made terrible things happen, like when they were on a picnic he made two trucks near him collide. He gauged out his parents eyes. Had nightmares about that one for awhile. Don't know if anyone here has seen it, I think it was a German movie.

1.) I dreamt I was in some sort of Green House or something and there were a bunch of computers there being eaten by cows.. I guess I was thinking about Gateway...

2.) I dreamt I was part of some sort of Back to the Future thing... I went into this cafe and then out another door that opened to some sort of ocean that was really swirly and gray with I strong current. I jumped in and was being carried away by the current and trying to swim back.

3.) There was some guy boarding at my house. I found out he wuz a murderer and I was trying to find a way to tell my mom without him finding out I had told.

I dreamed I was in a huge beautiful hallway in france I think (Or somewhere overseas)

I often wonder if when we dream we might be seeing things from another lifetime?? (I hate to think we come back to this hell hole but maybe we do)

I dream more than ever and they run the gambet, I wouldn't start to describe them, and as far as this hell hole, Dude, I don't agree, I've have a good life of ups and downs and mostly ups. And at this period it's a bear, but this too shall pass.

I enjoy my night of sleep as the dreams take me to many places in my life and I believe the low dose melatonin and HGH gel I use create so many dreams.

The strangest dream I ever had was of being pulled up into the night sky. I could see the stars, no moon and the blackness of the sky and it felt really cold. All I wanted to do was get back to my bedroom where I'd be safe. No idea why I dreamed it.

I had a strange dream this morning.

I was shopping at a local 7-11 that sold foreign fashion magazines like Paris Vogue, and exotic ice cream.

I was with an old friend of mine, whom I have not seen in years; she wanted to go because she already brought the items she wanted, but I was having a difficult time deciding on what to get.

I ended up purchasing a Big Cherry Chocolate Bar (remember those?), and a package of bubblegum (I loathe gum of any kind).
