Does LITB seem more authentic for is time being in black and white? Would you have rather have had it in color?

LITB,The Outer Limits,The Twilight Zone,A H Presents,and some others seem more authentic or that is the way should be,since words are hard to find to describe the feeling of the look those shows have.I think they were filmed and not recorded on video tape,except a few Twilight Zones.Gilligans Island should not have been black and white in the start.Even if Don Knotts was still there, the switch from black and white would have been noticed as a downgrade and not an improvement.
