I'm almost certain this was an Unsolved Mysteries case. The only thing I can remember about it though is some guy in his late twenties, maybe early thirties committing some kind of crime. I'm not sure if it was murder or robbery, but basically the police met him at his house and chased him and caught him. He apparently idolized Rambo and thought of himself as a kind of maverick or whatever. When he was arrested and heading to court I think he basked in the glow of all the cameras and wanted to be on TV. Sound familiar?

Strange that he isn't profiled on the Unsolved Mysteries wiki. I thought that place had every case. Does anyone even have a photo of the dude?

Some of the reenactments in this segment are PRICELESS. That actor was a riot.

Guy: Yeah, sure. *slams door* Guy: You look beautiful. Con Victim: Where's my money? I thought the actor was better looking than the real guy, for what it's worth.

Oh the actor was totally better looking. Wasn't really digging that mullet, but otherwise he was aight.
"You know, gotta fix it up and make it home for the little woman!" "Nah, I'm sorry, I've got a promotion coming up in Thailand, yeah." "Good-BYE!" "You take a pretty picture." The whole exchange with the second victim about supposedly being a cop.
