That's great. I love that game show, it's fun to play along with. Does anybody remember it first being on in the 80s? I seem to remember that it was, but I can't remember who the host was.

I would like to see the 80s version. Bill Cullen was the host.

Indeed in 1979-80 Bill Cullen on NBC hosted it.

During the 80s Geoff Edwards hosted it too on I think USA Network.

The last Chain Reaction program on GSN was good in that they used the original bonus game. It was lame in how they kept score, had no returning champions, and the host was so-so at best.

According to the Futon Critic, the person set to host new editions of "Chain Reaction" is Mike Catherwood of the national radio program "Loveline" (he co-hosted it).

Only yesterday I watched a rerun of "Chain Reaction" on GSN with the cardboard host Dylan Lane. It was meh at best.

I did not care for the speed chains, and I disliked the betting round very much too.

Bill Cullen, Geoff Edwards, even the dreadful Blake Emmons had some personality and seemed to care about the contestants. Dylan seemed like he was just there to pick up the check.

Hopefully this new host will prove better, and the format will be better too.

He could scarcely do any worse I dare say!

It's too bad Bill Engvall wasn't able to host this. He did an okay job with LINGO, I just disliked how they changed it around a bit too much. Only good thing was they played for money in the front game instead of points.

I think the new version is good, but I do miss the speed chains. And Mike Catherwood is likable but at times I think he's a little boring.

This new version of "Chain Reaction" would have been better off without its host making fun of its contestants on a regular basis.
