Default What is your favorite musical number/performance from ILL?

I'll start.

Mine was from "Lucy Goes to Mexico", one of the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours. It was performed by Ricky, Maurice Chevalier and Little Ricky. The end of the number was the best part, with Little Ricky and the little girls! It was the cutest thing I've ever seen! I can't remember the name of it.

If I had to pick one that featured Lucy, it would have to be Lucy and Ricky singing "Cuban Pete/Sally Sweet" during "The Diet". I love the singing and dancing -- it is a really cute song.

What are your favorites?

I like when Ricky sings "We're Having A Baby, My Baby and Me," and when he sings the lyrics to the theme song. Those two songs are just so sweet and you can really see the love in both of their eyes when he sings those songs.

I too always enjoyed the Having a Baby song, and always get a laugh out of Ethel Mae Potter's performance in her home town with Ricky Lucy and Fred trying to screw it up behind her back.

Yeah I would have to say the number from The Diet as well! On a related note, does anyone know what kind of padding, if any, they used on Lucy for that episode? I don't think I'd ever seen her flabby on that show, except perhaps when the show first started and her body was still recovering from the first pregnancy. Was she still "fat" from that in this episode, or did they pad her in some way?

The song that Little Ricky sings with the girls I believe is "Valentino." Yes, that is really cute. I absolutely love the entire "Lilly of the Valley" operetta. I also like the Japanese number Lucy does on the Lucy-Desie Comedy Hour episode "Lucy Goes to Japan."

I've been pondering this question for a long time, and I've decided that I can't pick just one. My favorites are the Cuban Pete/Sally Sweet song from "The Diet"; the umpire song from "Lucy Meets Bob Hope"; Ethel's performance (with Lucy, Ricky and Fred behind her) in "Ethel's Hometown;"and 'We're Having A Baby' from "Lucy Is Enciente."

I agree with you. That's my favorite. I almost cry whenever I see it.

My favorite songs are mostly sung by Ricky. My parents think Desi can't sing, but I love Desi's singing so, go figure.

Babalu
Cuban Pete
We're having a baby my baby and me

*Any other fast Desi songs are my faves too*

It wasn't a performance but I liked when they sang "California, Here I Come" in the car.
