I knew some of these from years and years of doing crossword puzzles.

Harp-The small metal hoop that supports a lampshade.
Peen-The end of a hammer head opposite the striking face
Aglet-The plain or ornamental covering on the end of a shoelace.
Rowel-The revolving star on the back of a cowboy's spurs

I've heard of a peen on a hammer. Ball and peen hammers are popular.

Does anyone remember the cable show called 'Sniglets'? It was about things which didn't have names but should.

I.e., sprunge was the congealed ketchup under the bottle's cap.

And: What do you call the plastic grass in the springtime holiday candy baskets? Eastro-turf!!
