Did Esther not like Jimmie?
 I read that Esther left Good Times for awhile because she felt that JJ wasn't a good role model for kids. Too Ghetto. I wondered if Esther didn't like JJ's character or if she didn't like Jimmie?

I am well read on this topic. It wasn't Jimmie she didn't like. . .it was the fact that he was portraying such a bad black image. She had no problem personally with Jimmie, just the role he was acting
