Default Share Your Local Diginet Lineup

Especially appropriate here, given the big presence of sitcoms on these networks' lineups...and the prospect for moves/changes/new networks soon.

Commercial stations only for obvious reasons:

CLEVELAND
-------------
3.2 (WKYC, NBC 3.1, Gannett) - Justice Network...a brand new "true crime" network (think TruTV reruns). Was weather radar until 1/20/15

5.2 (WEWS, ABC 5.1, Scripps) - Live Well Network. In reruns until 4/15/15 until LAFF...a comedy network with sitcoms and comedy movies...takes over. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-relea...300022110.html If you've got a Scripps or ABC owned station with Live Well, LAFF will either displace or join it.

8.2 (WJW, Fox 8.1, Tribune) - Antenna TV.

19.2 (WOIO, CBS 19.1, Raycom) - MeTV.

23.2-6 (WVPX, ION 23.1, ION) - The usual complement of ION subchannels (Life, Qubo, Shop, QVC, HSN).

43.2-3 (WUAB, MyNetwork TV 43.1, Raycom) - Bounce 43.2, GRIT 43.3

55.2-3 (WBNX, CW 55.1, Winston Broadcasting [locally owned believe it or not by faith healing preacher Ernest Angley's ministry]) - Religious/family 55.2, This TV 55.3 (previously on 43.2). An asterisk on the sitcom front: for whatever reason, 55.2 (locals jokingly call it the "Ernest Angley Channel") runs Andy Griffith weekday afternoons. This actually does not force MeTV/19.2 to run Mayberry RFD. I have no idea why, they run TAGS as well.

61.2-4 (WQHS, Univision 61.1, Univision O&O) - Unimas 61.2, GetTV 61.3, ESCAPE 61.4 (the last two in English)

YOUNGSTOWN
---------------

21.2 (WFMJ, NBC 21.1, Vindicator [local newspaper]) - 21.2 CW in HD

27.2 (WKBN, CBS 27.1, Media General) - Fox Youngstown (simulcast of WYFX-LD 19.1 low-power, 19 has no .2)

33.3 (WYTV, ABC 33.1, run by WKBN) - 33.2 MyNetwork TV, 33.3 Bounce (used to be a weather channel)

Notice that there are none of the new diginets in Youngstown save for the recent addition of Bounce. No MeTV, no Antenna TV, etc., though there is some distant viewing of Cleveland market stations. Heck, I'm in the Cleveland market and I get WKBN 24/7.

Antenna TV
MeTV
GetTV
Grit

And, I'm lucky we get those. Especially Antenna and MeTV (the only 2 I watch)

My stupid CBS affiliate refuses to dump their radar system and add in another diginet. They are the only network affiliate around here that don't have one.

Here are my local stations in Lexington, KY:

WKYT (CBS)
•27.1 - CBS
•27.2 - The CW
•27.3 - Weather Radar

WLEX (NBC)
•18.1 - NBC
•18.2 - Me-TV

WTVQ (ABC)
•36.1 - ABC
•36.2 - MyNetworkTV (MYTVQ2)
•36.3 - Antenna TV

WDKY (Fox)
•56.1 - Fox
•56.2 - GetTV
•56.3 - Grit TV

Kentucky Educational Television (PBS)
•25.1 - KET (PBS)
•25.2 - KET 2 (PBS Encore)
•25.3 - KET KY (Local programs produced in KY)

WUPX (ION)
•67.1 - ION Television
•67.2 - Qubo
•67.3 - ION Life
•67.4 - ION Shop
•67.5 - QVC
•67.6 - HSN

Like what Ryan said, I sent a letter to WKYT (also a CBS affiliate) asking them to drop their radar for a new sub channel. I wish we would get either Heroes & Icons or Decades.

^Hey. I'm in Lexington too!

I hope they take your letter seriously. I hate that stupid weather radar. And, yeah. My choice would be for Decades.

I should have listed the rest of our channels like you did. But, I hardly ever watch any of the diginets other than METV and Antenna. So, I barely know what was on the other channels. (I know about GETTV and Grit) because they came in for me one time. (My antenna isn't that great)

Ryan, we've got to get Decades to Lexington. I need to keep requesting WKYT to add that channel until they do. It would bring tons of viewership. Plus, since WKYT is a CBS affiliate, it makes sense. You could also try your hand at sending emails, letters, or a phone call into their offices. We could also try to organize people we know to do the same. Remember, viewer opinion matters.

I will try to write an email when I get a chance. Maybe we could start an online petition too.

I also think that WLEX should add another subchannel as well. They only have 18.2 (METV) right now. They could pick up This TV or Bounce. Louisville already has alot of these channels. So, I have no idea why Lexington is this far behind.

It's nice to meet another sitcom/classic tv lover around here. I'm Ren, BTW. Ryan's my alias. (Even though, I wish it was my real name. Because, it would sound so cool on a girl)

An online petition would be great! About WLEX, I called about a month ago regarding the same issue. They told me that they couldn't add another sub-channel because their equipment isn't strong enough. How ridiculous! When I told the person on the phone why I was calling, they acted clueless. So why not just ask WKYT. I mean they already have 3 sub-channels. Also, their radar sub-channel broadcasts in 480p in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Decades would be a great fit because of 3 things:

•It's partially owned by CBS.
•It will broadcast in 480p in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
•Viewership will be sky high.

Though, I'm concerned about signatures on an online petition. I'm not sure how many people would sign it if it was created. We've got to at least try. Decades, like I said, would be an AMAZING addition. And I apologize for calling you by the wrong name. I guess I should expect that on the interwebs.

Try going to www.antennaweb.org to find out. Just type in your zip code, street address for an accurate report (or your town/city), then put if your antenna will be above or below 30' off the ground. Even if you don't have an antenna, it's still a useful source in case you ever decide to get one. I used this site before I got myself an antenna about a year ago.
