I can't say I blame him, but I think he overreacted. He sure yelled at him like crazy.

Fonz was 100% RIGHT.
1. He destroyed Al's business and livelihood.
2. He almost killed his friends that were inside.
3. He put the fireman themselves in danger putting it out.
He is LUCKY he ONLY got yelled at. He should have been arrested.
STUPID KID! (head shaking)

S7, Ep17 22 Jan. 1980 "Hot Stuff"
Chachi is entrusted to close Arnold's, but he forgets to turn off the grill and carelessly tosses his apron on the hot surface. The result is a fire that destroys the drive-in restaurant, traps Fonzie, Ralph and Potsie, and lands Al in trouble with his insurance agent.

BTW, Chachi was also lucky to only get yelled at like crazy by Fonzie. He could have also gotten a butt whipping for this. LOL!

Yeah, but what Chachi did was unintentional, so I doubt if that'd make him a criminal.

True; but then again neither Richie nor Joanie accidently set fire to a friend's business and endanger the lives of three other friends.

Nope. But Richie had a severe punishment in S1. For illegal drag racing.

And I remember 2 eps. when Joanie had a fight with her parents. 1) When they fought about her going to college which she didn't want to attend. 2) When they argued about her going to Chicago with Chachi.

Obviously they're running out of ideas so they make a preachy 'socially relevant' episode teaching kids not to be careless and burn buildings down so they can claim to be on a higher moral plane than just a sitcom.
