I remember watching the show with my mother when it was on in the 80's and she saw George and said, he looks more like the grandfather then the father. Yea, he did look a bit old for his age.

George was supposed to be 15 years older than Marsha. Did it ever say where and how they met?

Seeing those cards of Bob as a player, I remember a trick he once mentioned. He claimed he did this, although in the context of a joke: While running the bases, he would intentionally come up with an arm and hit his cap a little, causing it to fly off his head. This made it look like he was really running fast...! (lol)
