This remake won't be any good because it's from the producers of Two and a Half Men.

Nope, no desire to even try this. Too many remakes are a disgrace. They can't top the originals.

I'm not a fan of the idea of an Odd Couple remake, however, I will check it out. After all, I like the actors involved: Matthew Perry (Friends), Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!), Dave Foley (NewsRadio) and Yvette Nicole-Brown (Community). So it's definitely worth checking out. Will it top the '70s series? Nope. That show is just too great to be topped. However, it still might be a good series worth watching - who knows?

I've seen a couple of Promo's for the show and it does have possibilities.

Matthew Perry is in fact playing Oscar, but I have the feeling that he would make a better Felix.

I've seen a promo for it and it looks good, I heard that Perry's modeling his Oscar after Walter Matthaus.

Most sitcoms on CBS are produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Television, and I think CBS needs to have at least one good comedy that they produce and distribute in-house (CBS tried establishing one in The Millers, but it suffered a second-season downfall and was cancelled). I'm not sure if a remake of an old show (like The Odd Couple) would be the right choice of a produced-in-house hit sitcom for CBS.

Maybe the premiere episode of the new version of The Odd Couple would get healthy or respectable ratings and viewership, being sandwiched between THE present top comedy and the series finale of the previous top comedy. Then the following week, viewership will take a huge drop in week 2 and TOC loses most of its Big Bang Theory lead-in. If it can't be the new version of The Odd Couple, then maybe some other CBS sitcom that premieres in Fall of 2015 will be the produced-in-house hit sitcom that CBS is looking for.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".
