Default This week in St.Louis

Here are some of the news stories that have been going on in St.Louis this week.

Two workers from the power company were trimming trees when a drunk armed with a crossbow and rifle fired at them and told them to quit making noise or he would shoot them out of the tree. He was hauled off to the pokey.

A woman was accused of stealing a cell phone from her friends so they drove her to an isolated wooded area, hit her with a pipe and forced to strip naked in freezing temperatures and made to lay down in a creek. They drove off and she managed to walk three miles for help. Her friends were arrested.

A man and his girlfriend were eating at Chuck E Cheese's when the man's ex-wife showed up in the parking lot and began poking holes in his tires. The girlfriend went out to confront her and had holes poked in her too. She was treated and released from the hospital and the police are looking for the ex-wife.

At around 11pm an 11 year old boy went outside to his father's car to get a charger for his cell phone, a man hiding in the bushes put a gun to the boy's head, emptied out his pockets and took his cell phone. He then stole their car and sped off down the street smashing it into a telephone pole. He was caught and arrested.

Four pizza delivery drivers were robbed in separate incidents over the last 6 days, this morning someone robbed a Taco Bell supply truck as it was about to deliver food to a restaurant. Guess they got tired of pizza.

A college student was shot and killed during a robbery as he sat in his car with two friends outside of a bar. The suspects were spotted in East St.Louis where they exchanged gunfire with police but escaped.

There have been numerous car break-ins all over St.Louis and people are advised not to park on the streets or leave anything of value in their cars.

Nothing but murders, robberies and car-jackings on the news around here. We have as many murders this month than we had all of January last year. They have a new stunt where they run into the back of your car and when you get out to check the damage they pull a gun and drive off with your car. There is a large Bosnian community that fled their war torn country and settled in South St.Louis and they have become victims of some of these crimes. They are fed up and some are leaving for West County while others are banding together to form watchdog groups. There is still talk of having the National Guard patrol the streets or to bring in more cops and have them ride horses around the area. The Mayor said they will be sending some people to Kansas City to see how they lowered their crime rate, in other words they don't know what the Hell they're doing. Recently burglars have broken into stores and made off with lots of guns so I expect even more shootings.

Last night gunfire erupts at a little kid's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese's.
Two men were fighting over a woman and one pulled his gun and began blasting the other man as a crowd of 40 people screamed and ran for cover. The man was hit multiple times but is expected to live.

This morning a woman and her 8 year old son were warming their car up when a carjacker pulled his gun, the woman exchanged gunfire with him and she was shot in the leg. She then took her boy to school where teachers discovered he too had a bullet wound.

Some idiot from Kansas City got into an argument with his girlfriend in the car and began shooting other cars on the highway in St.Louis, he hit 7 vehicles and two people before cops caught him.

A redneck punches former Cardinal Curt Ford at a gas station and tells him to go back to Ferguson. Hitting a Cardinal player in St.Louis is a no no, he will pay big time. I read somewhere this week that more former MLB players reside in St.Louis than any other city, that kind of surprised me. Curt Ford said he doesn't like it here anymore and I don't blame him.

I don't know what to make of this next guy. He's a white dude living in an all black neighborhood and the FBI and bomb squad raided his home for explosives. They described him as anti-cop and anti-government but his black friends and neighbors say he is a friendly Rambo or mountain man type mad at city hall after the Ferguson ordeal.

I will try to get more info on him when it's available.

It's a sad thing what is happening in our large cities. Detroit usually gets all of the bad publicity. It seems all large cities are getting worse and worse. Not just one or two. Too bad that a working solution cannot be found. A lot of factors are involved such as unemployment, drug abuse and trafficking, corrupt governments, etc. But the real problem is that people seem to be getting worse. I cannot comprehend how some people can be so evil. What to do? I don't know.

After we had a big street brawl downtown a cop on tv blamed most of what's going on around here on the media, social media in particular. I kind of agree with him. They text everyone that they plan on committing some crime and people show up with their cell phone cameras hoping to catch something for youtube.
