How long does it take for a rug to dry - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Last night MY toilet over flowed and now my rug is completely soaked how long will take to dry and what can I do to make dry it faster

I also need to wash my bath towels because of the flood at the temperature to wash them at

If that happens to me I just wash it then run it through the dryer on medium or low heat.

What do you wash it with, because I don't have a carpet cleaning machine and I don't have a hair dryer

I was thinking about a rug from a bath set but it appears you meant one that covers the entire floor. If you don't have nor want to rent a machine then I would have no idea on what the best way to clean it would be but I would suggest getting some Febreze for carpets to help get rid of the smell.

either rent a carpet cleaner or shampooer

We rented a house a long time ago that had pale pink carpet in the bathroom & pink tile walls. Since there was tile walls, you'd think there would have been a tile floor.

If it's really bad you may have to pull up the carpet and replace it because all that dampness could cause mold. I'd wash the towels in hot water, you could wash them a second time if they are in really bad shape.

The carpet out the bathroom is soaked
