Sad Got Tears?

Which episode(s) of "The Brady Bunch" make(s) you cry?

The one which makes me cry is #52, "Juliet Is The Sun", in which Marcia is chosen to play Juliet in the play "Romeo and Juliet" and gets carried away, even to the point of rewriting the play! Carol, on the "play committee" (for lack of a better term), removes Marcia from the cast. Hearing Marcia scream "MOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!" and burst into tears was a definite tearjerker!

A close call includes #38, "The Not-So-Ugly Duckling", about Jan's boyfriend Clark Tyson, particularly the scene at the sink where Jan has that lemon to remove her freckles and sobs "There goes your last excuse!" (or something similar). Episode #42, "Will The Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?", in which Jan dons a black wig to "stand out" from her sisters, comes close to being a tearjerker after the guests at Margie Whipple's laugh at Jan's new hair.

Any episode with Oliver makes me want to cry.

But that episode with the wig is a riot, especially the scene with Margie. I love it when dorky Margie tells Jan, "You sure look funny!" (It was Lucy Winter's birthday party, BTW.)

Smile My Crying "Brady Bunch" Experience!

LOL! Crying after watching Brady Bunch? Ok, to each his own, but for me, there is an obvious one! I remember back in the mid 70's seeing "Goodbye Alice Hello" for the first time. (I was too young to remember watching the series during it's original run) and I WAS CRYING! And then I recall going to school (I was in like 5th or 6th grade at the time) and some girl made a comment to this guy that "I couldn't call you back last night, because I was watching The Brady Bunch and crying!" I remember everybody else just cracking up about her comment. And I remember that so vividly because "Goodbye Alice Hello" happend to be the episode that was on the night before.

OMG I know! Jan so should have won the honors society award! They should have given her like a special "honesty" award.

I love it when at the school assembly, the teacher says, "The winner of the award is NOT Jan Brady." Who would say something like that?

The one where Marcia is scared to go to high school and has to try to change her image so she'll get friends I sooo know how that feels.

"Juliet is the sun" makes me cry. The first time I watched it I figured Marcia would get over her big head then she would get to play Juliet but I guess not.

Even though he was being a jerk, I always feel sorry for Peter when no one shows up for the party he throws for himself.

Once I almost cried to see the look on Mike's face when he founds out Marcia nominated him for father of the year.

I think there are more serious moments in the first season, when everyone is still talking about the stepfamily issue. How about when Bobby is going to run away, and then finds out that Carol is willing to go with him? "Oh, Mom, would you really come with me?"

Personally, I cried when Cousin Oliver showed up. He really stunk up the joint.
