Default The Writers for the Reunion movie defined the girls.

I think the 2 writers did great when it came to the lives and careers the girls had in later years:

Blair: Rich(Duh right?) An attorney since that what she was studying before the show ended. Although I thought she might have had kids.

Tootie: Former eastland resident gossip/actress turned talk show hostess. Have you noticed how comedians and actors wind up with a talk show of their own?

Natalie: Aspiring journalist at eastland now a producer for CNN news.

JoAnne Marie: Street smart tough girl from the bronx turns detective and gives back to the community. See the irony? LOL.

I though it was unique. The writers were almost 100% accurate. They messed up when it came to Natalie's middle name.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Moving Thanksgiving to Wednsday.

Harper: Do you think Mrs. Garrett can dothat?
Natalie: Mrs. Garrett can do anything.
Dorothy: Yeah, didn't you watch our show?

I agree, it was very (forgive me), "realistic" (hey, what can I say---I live vicariously through shows sometimes). They were really good choices.

And that quote about "Didn't you watch our show?" you use after your sig there...that was the 1 thing about the reunion that really threw me off. It perplexed me, cause this was a reunion in the lines of the show itself, not outside of it---as we are. So when "Tootie"/Dorothy said that, I was like,

As a sort of inside joke it's really funny and interesting, but on the stay-within-the-confines-of-the-show level, I didn't like it. It was kinda weird...

But yeah, I agree with what you originally said!

Your right ThomasE, they did do a really good job. The only thing is that Nat's middle name was "Latisha", and not "Sage".

Hopefully if there is ever, ever another reunion again, they will use those writers

I think they did really well too. Actually, I thought that it would be MORE 'real' if they had 2 gusy fighting over BLAIR. I mean, she had all of the gusy on the show

Blanche: There must be homosexuals who date women.
Sophia: Yeah, they're called lesbians.

Yeah, those descriptions sound pretty fitting to me. Love the irony with Jo, even though it kinda didn't fit fer character

Default re: Natalie's middle name

Her middle name was originally Leticia (something like that), and I noticed her name was Sage in the Reunion movie, but maybe this wasn't so much a mistake as it was a "what-if" sort of dealie, like
maybe she changed her middle name because it sounded more Bohemian and "sage-like", kinda hippie-chick, y'know?

I thought the writers should of been more practical with where the girls eneded up in there respected career choices, since it wasn't realisitic for them all to be exactly where they predicted back in high school. Also it seemed totally out of character for natalie to be the object of two men's affections, since that would of been totally intune for Blair's history and would of been more believable if it revolved around her instead of natalie.. If the writers really did there homework they should of included some other familiar faces from down below

Default RE: Reunion

I am thinking about what someone above was saying about Natalie not being the best choice for having two guys chase her around--that would sound more like Blair's department. I'm beginning to agree. ( Not that it couldn't happen with Nat, but...)
I am wondering if the writers didn't consider that with Blair because they thought her husband and her church and all of conservative Christendom would get upset with that possibility...
("Lisa not being a good girl...") When I think about it, they didn't really have Blair essential to the plot other than that she owned the hotel and wanted kids... (And where was TAD in all this???)
