The house is in the middle of nowhere with no street lights and I can only imagine how it looked at night time. Even Dick and his wife look too young to be in that depressing looking area. LOL

Sounds like pure paradise to me and I'm only 32.

I guess if you were brought up in that kind of area you wouldn't be bothered but living in the city i could not live in a area like like that until I am 70 lol |

That was the idea! They were restoring an old inn and opening it as a Bed and Breakfast. People getting away from the hectic city for a couple days/weekend out in the country! Beautiful scenery , an old beautiful historical house, and peaceful and they were making money as well! Sounds good to me!

Plus Dick ( Bob's name in the show) was a writer! That quiet peaceful environment is perfect for a writer. His wife on the other hand might get bored!

First ep they said how they were pretty much just buying the inn to restore it as a hobby, and guests would come secondary. They were even surprised when they started getting guests. And they hired Leslie as their maid right away! Dick really had a lucrative career in writing. Led you to believe they were pretty well off! And also Joanna didn't have to work!
