We've had a poll about your favorite episode. Now let's be more specific. What was the funniest scene or moment? Here are mine.
1. Nell's hosting her PORKO meeting at the Kanisky house. When the Chief enters, the PORKO members mistake him for a new member, and they cheerfully serenade him with the insulting welcome song. I love the look on Nell's face when she realizes what's happening. And the look of shock followed by anger on the Chief face before he explodes with rage. A few seconds later, he and Nell walk into the kitchen, and they both get stuck in the doorway as they try to pass through it at the same time. 2. The Chief beats up Sam's imaginary friend, Debbie Jo: throwing her on the ground and stomping on her, slamming a dresser drawer shut on her head repeatedly and then claiming to pull her head off. It's actually pretty violent, and Sam's reaction is panicked and sad, but I can't help laughing at his mixture of glee and rabid anger as he vigorously fights the invisible enemy. 3. In the "Flashback" episode, after Margaret invites Nell to stay the night, she and the Chief wake up butt-to-butt in the same bed. Margaret: "Oh, I see you've met." Here's a tiny thing that cracks me up: at the end of the Christmas episode, the family sings a Christmas song together, but the Chief sings a completely different song (Silent Night) than the rest of the group. He did this two years in a row! I guess my other favorite scenes would be all the physical fights between Nell and Addie. When they got mad at each other, they reverted back to their 6-year-old selves. Only two women who had been friends their whole lives could get away with insulting and roughhousing each other and then go back to being best friends again a few minutes later. Hmmm...Nell and Addie's best scenes; that's a topic that probably deserves its own thread. |

2 of my favorite scenes are from the pilot:
Nell teaching Sam how to fight and when she vacuums the fish tank...poor Gertrude, LOL

I think it was in "Julie's Rejection" where Nell shows the girls how to dance in Katie's bedroom. She says "Stand back before I hurt you" and begins to shake it like crazy!

Great idea for a thread.
It makes me want to re-watch all the episodes. Thankfully, I have the complete series box. For now I'll leave you with one name...Angie. Darryl |

One of the funniest scenes is in season 6 in Below Sea Level where Nell and Addy fight outside because Sam didn't call her from her college dorm after she got settled in, and the guy behind them on the street in New York plays a violin and keeps changing songs to match with how they are feeling/what they are saying to one another.
Most of the other funniest scenes have to do with either Samantha in seasons 1/2 or Nell and Addy fighting between seasons 3-6. |

That was hysterical! I don't blame the chief for being so frustrated and fed up with Samantha. That girl was a major weirdo. Normal 14 year old girls do not have imaginary friends. |
