I'm not a fan of "The Middle" so I voted for "ELR".

I've never seen "The Middle," so by default I must say "Everybody Loves Raymond."

You should watch it, The Middle is easily the best current sitcom. New episodes air Wednesdays at 8:00 on ABC and repeats air in syndication.

I voted "Everybody Loves Raymond." It's a (modern) classic and she was really good on that show. I've only seen a few episodes of "The Middle" and while it's not terrible, it's also nothing that special (to me, of course).

As for "Back to You", I bought the DVD years ago, when it came out and thought the show was awful. I remember before it came out, it was discussed a lot on these boards and even after it ended. It, for some reason, has always been a popular show on Sitcoms Online, though I don't get why.

I am a fan of both shows and what is interesting is how good Patricia Heaton is as an actress because the two characters are very different from one another, not just a variation of the same character. Ray Ramano I don't think could do that. Neither could Brad Garrett (what was that last show he was in which lasted way too long?) Even Tim Allen basically plays the same variations of the same guy. Heaton is a good actress because you see and believe that Debra Barone and Frankie Heck are two completely different people.

Heaton still looks good in her 50's and I don't have much of a choice. I wish Leah Remini would get another hit, to me, Remini is the younger, more saucy, more ethnic (Italian/Jewish girl with a Brooklyn accent? Sold.) what, did you think I watched King of Queens for the fat guy or Frank Costanza?

Agreed. I watched a few episodes of Back to You and thought it was awful.

I voted for Everybody Loves Raymond. I've been watching the show on Netflix (just started season eight) and absolutely love Debra. The whole cast works extremely well together.

I've seen The Middle too, but I think she's better on Everybody Loves Raymond.

Patricia Heaton is lucky to have two successful comedies!!
