In one of the commentaries, Cosgrove mentions that the re-enactment dialog is generally improvised. I imagine they gave the actors bullet points to work with, and obviously the people playing themselves shouldn't need much coaching, but I was surprised that there would be no scripted dialog in the re-enactments. Think of how many amazing lines quoted over and over on this forum just randomly rolled off the actor's tongue...

I actually read an article about UM recently which stated that you could tell just how good the acting was in each segment. Apparently, if the segment was *more* narrated by Robert Stack/Dennis Farina, the acting was crap.
I thought that was hilarious. |
