I got word from Jackie Gleason's daughter, Gerladine Chutuk that CBS owns the rights to those short color Honeymooners sketches and NOT Paul Brownstein.

I spoke with ChrisTv, Bill S. And cgcmgr about this. ChrisTv says that we should all contact CBS (or CBS.com) and get them to open the vault. I wonder what CBS' reaction will be if all of us ask for the material and than some.

I spoke to Bill S. one hour ago. He says CBS having the short sketches doesn't make sense and that Geraldine might have them. I have JGE' phone number if anyone is interested.

Paul Brownstein's page no longer lists The Jackie Gleason Show 1966-1970 as a distribution property. Only the Color Honeymooners for TV Credits. Maybe the rights did go back to CBS or the Gleason Estate.

Well, I called that number. The guy who I spoke to was very friendly and said that if CBS has the shows in their vaults, it would be in the archive in California. The number is 323-575-2358. I called that number and the lady who I spoke to said that the decision is made by an outside company and they have no control over it. This was after I said that there were fans who want to see those shows.

Like he said, Geraldine likely has the sketches in the Gleason archive and she probably doesn't know it. I don't know if it will be a good idea to contact her and ask her to go in the archive. I do have her phone number though.

I now have his daughter's contact information just in case anybody wants to contact her and ask her to look in the archives and find those sketches since Gleason Enterprises licenses a clip of George Carlin from a January 1969 show to MPI. Those sketches have got to see the light of day.
