Pilot started today: Three's Company (2002/2003) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Today was my first day on the set for the pilot "Three's Company" (2002). It was a getting to know you day and we were all introduced and read through the pilot script. I play Mr. Roper, who in this version is a swinging single past his prime with the hots for Chrissy and Janet. Chrissy and Janet tell him they are a couple to throw him off the scent. Of course this only makes him more determined to have a 3 way! Meanwhile, Jack is in his room getting horizontal with his long time love, Larry Roper. Larry is Mr. Roper's son but hasn't come out to pops. The pilot is fast paced and funny and sets up potential for many more hilarious misunderstandings etc... A Three's Company's specialty.
Here is the cast as of today:

Jack: Jason London
Janet: Keri Russell
Chrissy: Tara Reed
Mr. Roper: Wink Williams
Larry: Vincent Kartheiser

I asked what happened to Mrs. Roper and the writers say she took off and may turn up later. Mr. Furly may very well pop up too and rumors abound that Jack's twin may appear too. Jason has an identical twin, Jeremy, and it seems like a natural fit.
I am hoping that we can get Don Knotts to do a cameo, he is my idle, in a future episode. Also, they are talking about having Suzanne Somers play Mrs. Roper when/if she is worked into the story line.

Shhhh, don't tell anyone I spilled the beans or I will get fired. The whole thing is very hush, hush.

Liza's friend, socialite DENISE (pardon my ex $$$) RICH, threw the pre-wedding fiesta at her New York apartment. Guests, including GLORIA (I will survive) GAYNOR, JANET (Psycho) LEIGH and the ladies of "The View" (they should use these broads as a weapon against terrorism. Example: You are sentenced to two nights alone with Star Jones...you get the idea) gathered to offer Liza their good wishes -- and lots of other goodies! "There's a lot of sexy lingerie," Liza revealed of the shower gifts. "David will be pleased!" Wink: Better him than me! Yikes. Who would want to see that dame in lingerie?!?!

i just have to say (wink williams) that i think you're FULL of crap! just to tell you, you spelled Tara Reid's name wrong. and, u look too young to be playing Mr. Roper! i'm just making a bet, but this show won't be on air in the 2002/2003, cuz it's never happening.

Full of crap? I will have you know I have a colonic irrigation on a regular basis, so that is never a problem. In fact, I met one of the producers who ended up casting me while we sat side by side last month at the clinic.
As for looking to young...Thanks! The face lifts, liposuction, hair transplants and regular injections of sheep feti cells have done the trick. Like George Hamilton and Dick Clark, I may be a bit older than 25 but will never look it.
Reed/Reid what's the difference? Like I know hot to spell her name. I do know that she has got a body that gets me all worked up and damn, I hope to get me some.
Today we have a full dress rehearsal and tomorrow, the tapings. The writers keep rewriting and it's driving me nuts. In the latest version, Chrissy and Janet share a kiss in front of Mr. Roper. Dreams do come true!
