Dax Shepard Returns to "About a Boy"
"Parenthood's" Dax Shepard Sets Second "About a Boy" Cameo (Exclusive)
12/16/14 by Lesley Goldberg Fresh off directing "About a Boy", "Parenthood's" Dax Shepard is returning for another visit. The actor, who plays Crosby Braverman on NBC's Jason Katims drama, will return for his second cameo, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Shepard will be back in the Jan. 13 episode, titled 'About a Boy Becoming a Man', in which Crosby will resurface for another of Will's (David Walton) poker nights with Andy (Al Madrigal), TJ (Zach Cregger) and Richard (Keith Powell). Shepard previously guest-starred in a season one episode with the same premise, and Walton exchanged the favor when he popped in during a season-five episode of the family drama. "I'm definitely open to him appearing in a bigger way," "About a Boy" / "Parenthood" showrunner Katims told THR of having Shepard return to NBC's second-year comedy in a greater capacity. "There are many factors involved, mainly Dax's schedule. I would definitely be open to it." While "About a Boy" will hand over its Tuesdays time slot in March to freshman multicamera comedy "One Big Happy", Katims is optimistic that the show has a future at NBC. "NBC has been very positive about the show creatively," he said, pointing to "About a Boy's" strong DVR numbers. "I'm hopeful that they're going to continue to support the show. They've been behind the show all along. I've had moments with Friday Night Lights and Parenthood where I didn't know if we'd make it through certain moments and I feel like the network has a lot of faith in the show. The show continues to get stronger as we go." http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...-second-758463 |
