season 2 Christmas episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

for those that have seen it on DVD, for the closing; instead of showing the usual one where they show clips from the episode while the closing theme plays, I remember back when the episode originally aired they just showed the final scene of Bob & Emily in their living room, on the couch, Bob's asleep and Emily has her head on his shoulder and is also asleep. The room's dark except for a candle burning in front of then and they showed the credits but didn't play the theme.
But when ME TV showed the episode tonight, they showed that ending but played the closing theme.
Is it like that on the DVD?

Yes, its like that on the DVD. The credits rolled and the theme played.

I'm in the middle of watching the complete series.

that's too bad, I remember when it first aired back in the 70s that scene looked so nice without the theme playing.

Yes, its always disappointing when you hear about an episode on a dvd release that is different from the original broadcast.
