Instead of calling him a sheepdog I think it would have been more realistic if they commented on Beaver's lack of coordination and called him a klutz, a nerd or a spazz. Then he would come down to the dinner table wearing a leather jacket, hair in his eyes and doing James Dean to be really cool. That would have been funny. Oh I forgot spazz is a valley girl word.

I remember that episode. Near the end he said to Shirley that she was ugly and had a face like a cuckoo clock and it made her cry. It still showed that Beaver hated girls.

"Beaver the Sheepdog" feels like a rehash of earlier episodes, including the one where Beaver was self-conscious of his freckles and the one where Wally hated his pug nose.

I think if the show made it another season, Beaver and Shirley would have probably ended up dating.
