TV Update: Len Goodman To Return for "Dancing With the Stars" Season 22

Which Judge Is Exiting "Dancing with the Stars"?
Dec 8, 2014
by Robyn Ross

Len Goodman is retiring his paddle. The "Dancing with the Stars" judge has announced the upcoming 20th season will be his last.

"Next year, I'm not going to do the flying backwards and forwards—I'm not going to do the American show... I've got to have a bit of time off," Goodman told Digital Spy while promoting his U.K series "Strictly Come Dancing".

"Next year is their 10th year; it's the 20th series of the show. So, I think that's a nice place to stop."

Len deserves more time to himself but I will miss him on the show.

DWTS will not be quite the same without this gentleman.

He's getting too old, but more likely he needs to retire after Spring 2015.

I gave her credit hanging on this long. 10 years of flying back and forth would wear me out. By the way, How is he?

Default Dancing with the Stars boss doesn't think Len Goodman will exit after next season

http://www.people.com/article/dancin...l-burke-hiatus

"He says, 'Let's see how it goes,'" says exec producer Rob Wade. "It depends on the health of his mother and how he feels personally about the travel. There's a good chance he might miss a lot of all next season, but I don't know though. I think there's a chance he'll decide to come back next spring when Dancing with the Stars in the U.K. is not going on."

I will miss this sometimes-cranky judge.

He has been fun to have on DWTS.

I wish him the best as he goes on to the next chapter.

Good, I won't miss him. His personality is like nails on a chalkboard.

He's no armchair critic:he's been there, done that and don't let his patter fool you. His natural sunny personality likes to find the best in people but don't think he's losing his marbles-he's not.

It's Official: Len Goodman Really is Leaving "Dancing with the Stars" – Will He Be Replaced?
by Shelli Weinstein
Aug 19, 2015

Say goodbye to the "10 from Len." "Dancing with the Stars" head judge Len Goodman is officially stepping away from the judges table after 10 years with the show.

As previously reported, Goodman announced in December that "Dancing's" 20th season would be his last, as he wanted "a bit of time off," from flying back and forth between the U.S. and the U.K., where he judges "Strictly Come Dancing", the show on which "Dancing" is based.

"Len will not be returning as a judge this season on Dancing with the Stars due to his schedule as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the U.K. and the birth of his new grandson," executive producer Rob Wade said in a statement to Glamour.

He suggested that Goodman may still be involved in the show in some way (perhaps he'll return as a guest judge?), "but we will have to wait and see."

Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough will return to their seats in the ballroom, with guest judges joining as well.

Never mind: those who suffer withdrawal symptoms can keep track of the BBC series here: http://betnod.com/threads/strictly-c...ing-2015.6583/

Len Goodman To Return as Judge for "Dancing With the Stars" Season 22
by Matt Webb Mitovich
November 24, 2015

In a holiday video message (that was part of a larger, Christmassy theme during finale night), Len Goodman — who served as head judge on the series for 20 straight seasons before sitting this cycle out — said, “See you in the spring,” confirming his return to the dais for Season 22 (premiering March 21).

As announced almost a year ago, Goodman’s “schedule as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing in the UK and the birth of his new grandson” precluded his involvement in this fall’s Season 21.

This past season was fun with the three remaining judges doing a good job -- however, I'm really looking forward to Len Goodman's return!!

He is bright and funny -- simply the best!!

All four judges together for this upcoming 22nd season!

Carrie Anne is improving a little bit better, but sometimes alternative good and bad with Julianne.

Bruno is a comedic entertainer, but needs to lower down his wildness and not act like homo at all.
