Ned the Wino had to be a family friend, he came to James funeral....that's not normal for any neighborhood drunk to just clean up in a suit and go to a strangers funeral correct?

I know quite a few "neighborhood drunks" that were family friends. They are harmless and some of the nicest people you could ever meet. Ned did show his face up for james funeral like prestige said and he was cleaned and groomed in doing so. What's wrong with that?

Wrong, dude. Ned might have been "dirty and drunk" but he did respect the Evans and he had enough sense enough to pay the fam respect when there was death upon them. The most touching line Ned ever said was, "I'm sho' gon' miss James.....we all are. And he said it from the heart. Personally, I think Ned was a little sober during that scene.

James' funeral was long before Ned the wino used the Evans' tub. He was not a family friend at that point. Plus, if you remember even way before that, JJ painted "Black Jesus" based on Ned the wino's face and Florida AND James were appalled. James never liked Ned the wino...... not a family friend.
BTW, just 'cause you go to somebody's funeral doesn't mean that they were your friend.

I believe Ned the wino was a family friend, he was just in the gutter
