Actor Corey Sligh was hit with a car and beaten while trying to deliver a Thanksgiving meal to a friend.

The 27-year-old actor, who has appeared as a waiter and bartender on "The Young and the Restless", was heading in to a Rite-Aid in Los Angeles with girlfriend Alisa Berhorst on Nov. 27, according to a local CBS report. In the parking lot, they saw two men in a car doing donuts and speeding.

Sligh told the men to slow down, which led to the men hitting him with their car and then getting out of the car to beat him up. Sligh suffered a broken arm and was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Cops have arrested two suspects. Police officers report that the suspects fled the scene but later crashed their car and were tracked down by a witness.

"The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary," Berhorst, who is also an actress, told CBS. She added that she is relieved that Sligh is OK.

I live in Los Angeles, and let me tell you, be very careful where you get involved. Most people in other cities and states don't get that, but in LA, mind your own business. You can get shot otherwise.

I have to somewhat agree. You might want to help but you never know what people will do to you. Some people are crazy.

Not just in Los Angeles, but everywhere.

It's sad that he was hurt for trying to do the right thing, but it was a bad judgment call on his part in hindsight. At the most, he should have just called the cops and let them handle it.

Former Y&R Actor Indicted on Child Molestation Charges

A bit-part actor who has appeared on "The Young and the Restless" was indicted Monday by a federal grand jury for allegedly abusing a girl younger than 10 years old, PEOPLE confirms.

Corey Sligh, 30, was arrested in Georgia on Oct. 14 and charged with child molestation. A police report at the time, obtained by People, stated that Sligh was taken into custody at his home in Canton.

Authorities alleged that the molestation occurred between April and September 2016. He was released on $22,000 bail.

A spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest to People, saying then that Sligh knew the girl who was allegedly abused and that the “incident occurred in the spring.”

One of the victim’s parents reported the alleged molestation to authorities on Sept. 24, and Sligh was arrested weeks later, according to police documents obtained by People.

Sligh was arrested in Florida the following month, in November, on similar accusations: A woman contacted the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to allege that Sligh had touched her young daughter inappropriately while they were on vacation.

According to that arrest warrant affidavit, the child claimed Sligh made her touch him inappropriately. At the time, investigators said that they interviewed both Sligh and the girl before placing him under arrest.

Sligh is charged with two counts of child molestation. Both state cases have since been transferred to federal court.

He will be arraigned next month, and it is unclear whether he has entered a plea. It appears he is no longer in custody, having been released on $100,000 bail in the Florida case, as well as the earlier bail in Georgia.

His attorney did not immediately return Peoples call for comment, and efforts to reach him directly were unsuccessful Thursday.

After his November arrest, Sligh, who faces up to 20 years in prison, issued a brief statement.

“I am innocent and fighting this until the end,” he said. “The truth will prevail.”

Why would they go through all of this if it weren't true, because of his big-time acting status? The guy was pretty much a glorified extra on a soap.
