"New Girl" Finds a Valentine in "Being Human" Alum (Exclusive)

Few comedies love a holiday episode as much as "New Girl". On the heels of Tuesday's "Thanksgiving IV" and an upcoming Christmas outing, the Fox series is prepping for Valentine's Day.

One single member of the loft gang, Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.), will be celebrating with a love interest. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that actress Meaghan Rath will appear in the episode — with the potential to recur down the line.



Rath, perhaps best known for playing Sally in Syfy's stateside treatment of "Being Human", has been cast as May. She'll run into Coach when the gang goes on a Valentine's bar crawl — and apparently sparks will fly.

It's not yet clear how many additional episodes Rath will see, but she won't be a stranger to TV in 2015. She just had a turn on DirecTV's "Kingdom" and joins the cast of "Banshee" for its upcoming third season.

Her episode of "New Girl" will, naturally, air in February.
