Default Changes in Season 5

I have to say it's pretty amazing how fast they recovered from Suzanne's exit. She didn't show up at the Nov 3rd taping, and by November 20 they had advertised, auditioned, and hired a replacement ready to run lines to tape the show "Chrissy's Cousin" on Nov 25. (And apparently Jennilee read for the producers three times during that time before she was finally hired.) That's some fast work. I can't imagine anything these days turning something around that fast mid-season. I guess that was one advantage of being somewhat lo-fi back in the day.

Oh yeah. They definitely did a rush job hiring Jenilee. Which explains why a lot of people weren't happy with her and they eventually replaced her with Priscilla.

Only problem is, I think Priscilla was less interesting than Jenilee. If they were looking to replace her, they should have taken the time to look for someone funnier than Priscilla.

Yeah. I'm watching a sitcom, right? Janet was fine as the normal one. Keep the blonde goofy. When Terri came in they had to make Janet more goofy to fill the comedy void.

Terri had her silly moments but it wasn't every episode like it was with Chrissy and Cindy

Yep, not enough. Seasons 7 and 8 strike me as being particularly bland and that's because they dropped Cindy and Terri wasn't funny enough to fill Cindy's shoes if you ask me.

How funny could it have been to have Cindy at Jack's Bistro breaking all of Jack's plates and glasses.

Keep Cindy and also make Felipe appear frequently and there might have been a Season 9.

Actually ratings went back up in Season 6 with the addition of Terri so they should have kept both Terri and Cindy. I would have liked that. The show tended to be more interesting when it had six main cast members as opposed to only five anyway, with the exception of the first 2 seasons where there were really only five, but they appeared in every episode. The show lost a lot in the last two seasons when they pared the cast down to five members and had most shows rotate with only Larry OR Furley appearing in each episode and usually not both in the same. Those episodes could have been improved with another regular in the cast. Have Cindy keep dropping in. She'd always be good for at least one laugh per episode.

I feel the same way about Cindy, I didn't like having to get use to another roommate.

And since she was a grown woman at some point she was supposed to stop breaking stuff

I think TC was better than Shakespeare. lol

I liked Cindy and wouldn't have mind her staying in the later seasons but I guess there wasn't enough for her to do to justify it. She wasn't even in most of the episodes of season 6, at least any that she had a large part in.

You do think it would have gotten old to see Cindy, a grown woman coming to the Bistro and bumping into sh*T? lol

Not if they had her appearing the same amount of time as in Season 6. I'm not saying to build storylines around her, but the show needed something in Seasons 7 and 8. She and more Felipe should have done the trick in regards to keeping the laughs going. She was good for a goofy joke, which Three's could have used more of once scenes moved to the Bistro.

Anyway, watching Seasons 7 and 8, to me it just wasn't enough having only Jack, Janet, Terri, Ralph and Larry.

If its any consolation IMO Terri was far prettier than Chrissy and Cindy.
