Report: Rex Ryan fined $100,000 for profane outburst vs. Steelers

The Jets won their second game of the season last Sunday and it came at a price. Specifically: $100,000, which is how much coach Rex Ryan was fined by the league, according to ESPNNewYork.com, after he was caught on camera yelling, "F--- you!" to someone on the field as the game ended.

A day later, Ryan joked, "I think I was saying, 'Thank you,'" He then added, "Emotions run high in games. Sometimes it's best to ... what happens on the field stays on the field. That's where it stems from. It's a very emotional game. Obviously, I've got to do a good job of controlling my emotions. Things happen. I'm sorry if I offended anybody."

Ryan, who didn't specify where his comments were directed, had received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty in the fourth quarter for arguing with an official that quarterback Michael Vick wasn't being protected like Ben Roethlisberger.

In six seasons with the Jets, Ryan has accumulated $225,000 in fines for three separate incidents. There was the $50,000 fine for making an obscene gesture at an MMA event back in February 2010, and in 2011, he was fined $75,000 after telling a MetLife Stadium heckler to "Shut the f--- up."

Rex Ryan is gonna be fired after this season because the Jets suck hahahahahahahahahahaha. I'm surprised he's still with the team because he should've been fired a long time ago. Geno Smith is a terrible quarterback and Michael Vick isn't doing much better.

Well Rex Ryan was a lucky guy last season when the Jets went 8-8, but this year, he may not be quite so lucky, plus, there are some people that I talk to that told me they cannot STAND Rex Ryan

also, I said the same thing, he's gonna lose his job as coach for the Jets if they do go 8-8 again this year

The Jets aren't gonna win 8 games. They got 2 wins so far hahahahahahahahahahahaha. They'll probably end up with 4 wins LOL.
