Being such a fan of the old TV shows, I got to thinking I'd like to find a group of people that were into them too. And I love message forums. So I googled around and found this site. I typed in something like message boards for old TV shows . And I read through a lot of the posts and it seemed cool. So I signed up and here I am!

A big plus too is the Chit Chat section, it's like two message forums in one. One for the TV and one to discuss all other topics!!!

I will!! I will probably be able to post more! I didn't want to say anything. I didn't want to have you guys feeling sorry for me. I was laid off from work last week. It is because of the economy, business being slow. He had to let some of us go. So it's on good terms. My boss said he was sorry to have to let me go, that it was a pleasure having me there, if things pick up he'd have me back, blah, blah, blah. So I will be able to get unemployment, and my hubby's job is thriving, so I will be OK. As Doris Day says "Que sera, sera whatever will be will be"!

It is nice getting some rest, and I will be able to really do some good housecleaning and have time to cook good meals and stuff. Not to mention getting to watch a lot more of my METV and Antenna!!!! LOL!!!! I will start looking for a job after the new year, I probably won't ride out the whole unemployment !

Sorry to hear that Bonny but you will rebound. Also a good decision by you to wait until the new year to find a job since this time of year the time lot of people take off and go on vacation. I always said If I did not have a job by the 2nd week of November then I would suspend job search until the 1st week of January. That's why I was always so aggressive in Sept and Oct.

Plus this site took my mind off of not having a job..........5 times LOL

this site is my escape from reality

Yes. I'm thinking of it as a little vacation. It doesn't get that cold out here in California, but we do get chilly weather and rain. It will be nice not having to go out and deal with traffic on a cold rainy morning. This morning was really dreary, it was nice hanging out watching Perry Mason drinking coffee! Christmas coming up, it will have to be minimal present wise, but that is OK! And I will just think of the positives, and like I said catch up on some house chores and stuff and enjoy my holiday and worry about the jog search later!

Yes, I'm afraid a lot of our members left for Facebook. When I first joined Facebook I admit I neglected Sitcoms Online for a while. But I soon got bored with FB. I have never been bored here. So many different and interesting people! I still log onto FB just to see what's going on with my friends and relatives but I much prefer Sitcoms Online. I have been here so long(2001) that it's like home. I sure would love to see some of our old members come back. I won't mention who as I don't want to seem to favor one over another. I miss them all! But our new members I am beginning to know are a welcome breath of fresh air. Keep on posting please! And thanks to TJ and all of our wonderful moderators for keeping SO going strong! Thanks to all of you!

I remember when I was the new guy. Hard to believe its been over 3 years already. I tell you, this is such a great site. I mean I didnt think people thought the way I did as far as old tv shows go but little did I know. The only time I wont be on here a lot is that if I get busy or cant make it to a computer or if its something that I'm not interested in. In other words, if I come here, and see that the topics are not something that I'm interested in, I just wont post. Why waste people's time or my time? Why become a troll or spam when you have nothing to say?

Bonnie, so sorry about being laid off. I, too, am unemployed as well. Really must stink since we are near the holidays. Hopefully, with the new year coming, better days are coming.
