"Family Guy" on track to surpass "King of the Hill" episode count - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

King of the Hill produced 259 original episodes over 13 seasons, from early 1997 until 2009. Family Guy, so far, has aired during 12 television seasons (the current season (2014-15) is its 13th one), and during next season (2015-16), Family Guy will surpass King of the Hill's episode count. As it stands now, KotH is FOX's second-longest-running animated series (behind The Simpsons). Taking production lines into account (the production lines of FG are (X)ACX--, like "1ACX--", "2ACX--", "4ACX--", "7ACX--", "AACX--" (11), "BACX--" (12), etc.), by the end of the current production line (which is CACX--, the 12th one), 262 original episodes of Family Guy will have been produced.
