When is the latest into an SNL episode the musical guest has appeared?
I was watching my copy of Pamela Sue Martin/Power Station from early 1985, and the Power Station didn't appear until what seemed like at least an hour into the program. And then like 10 minutes later, they did their other hit song and the episode was over. That really seemed like an oddity to me and I figured it must be some sort of record. I really have no idea why they would appear so late as it was a supergroup and both songs went into the top 10 that year. I had also watched my copy of Alex Karras/Tina Turner from a few weeks before, and Tina had 3 songs, they were at about 30, 60 and 90 minutes in.
