The actors Dick Van Patten and Timothy Van Patten are half brothers who were born 31 years apart. I think that is interesting and would like to know how old the father was when Dick was born and when Timothy was born.

So basically the father raised one son in the 1930's and 40's and another son in the 1960's and 70's. Was their father wealthy, so that he could get a much younger woman the second time around? I wonder what the age difference is between Dick and his stepmother (Timothy's mother).

Were Dick's parent's divorced, or did she (the mother) pass away?

Dick's oldest son, Vincent is actually about two years older than his uncle Tim. I just find this fascinating for some reason and would like to know more.

I suppose you could look up info on- www.Family Search.com (an ancestory site ) and find information. 1930 or 1940 census info might tell a little about the family.

I always thought Timothy was Dick's son, and Vincent's brother.

And I think Vincent is Dick's youngest son. I think it goes Nels, Jimmy and Vincent from oldest to youngest.
