Default Saturday Night Live 11/1/14 - Chris Rock and Prince

What did you think of this episode?

The Kelly File – (cold open) this sketch was alright, Kate MacKinnon is always crazy/funny, Moynihan was good - they had to do something about ebola, so this fit that requirement.

Chris Rock’s Monologue - I thought he was pretty funny; it was really just a short bit of stand-up and not anything new or different in a monologue, but he did what he does best and was funny.

How 2 Dance with Janelle - I didn't think much of this sketch, too predictable; Chris Rock was funny as the dad, but the rest was just filler.

GoProbe for Colonoscopy - funny, but it went on too long for the bit that it was.

How’s He Doing? - even though this was a recycled sketch I thought that it did work and the characters and jokes were worth the revisit to this bit.

Prince – “Clouds”/”Plectrum Electrum”/“Marz”/“Anotherlove” – I'm not really a prince fan so i didn't bother watching his performance.

Weekend Update – even though Michael Che had a couple of flubbed jokes and stumbles, he is still more entertaining to watch than Colin Jost, who just seems to be getting worse every week, sucking the life out of every joke with his complete lack of personality. Pete Davidson is hilarious, and his bit was probably the highlight of the entire episode. Jay Pharoah and Keenan Thompson as Katt Williams and Suge Knight are great and another of the best parts of the whole show; it went on a little long but it was funny all the way through.

Shark Tank – I thought this sketch was just so-so, it had a few good lines and the characters were alright but nothing special - although I don't think it bombed like some people are saying.

Swiftamine – I thought this was a funny sketch but it went on too long.

Anniversary - this was a weird sketch, but I thought Chris Rock and Leslie Jones were good in it, the characters were funny and even with a couple of flubbed lines it was still good.

Bank Robbery – this had a few good lines but just went on for too long with basically the same one note joke.

Women in the Workplace - This was a good sketch overall and had some really funny moments.
