Last Weekend while I was "Garage Saleing" I asked a seller if he had (What Else?) any videos for sale. He pointed to a box which had five VHS Movies in it. He said I could have them for a buck. Four Quarters changed hands and the movies were mine. They were:

1. The Andromeda Strain (Original)

2. Bakers Hawk

3. Driven

4. Meteorites

5. Rocketship X-M

I had some things to do, so I put them aside. Today I was going to watch Meteorites when I noticed two things about it. First, it was unopened, still factory shrink-wrapped. Second, a sticker on the box bore these words: "For Promotional Use Only. Not For Sale, Rental, Duplication or Public Performance". Something told me NOT to open this tape! So I went over to "The Big River" (That's amazon.com for those of you in Rio Linda!

) and noticed new copies of this movie going for a little over $70.00 UP!

mg: None of the copies for sale mentioned anything about beingb a "Promotional" Copy. This movie must NEVER be opened! I've decided to put it away with three other unopened, collectable DVD sets I have (Speed Racer (Volume Four), The Best Buy copy the Disney/Pixar movie Cars and the Wal-Mart copy of The Simpsons Movie. (The first has a Die-Cast Miniature of the Mach 5 Race Car, the second has Die Cast Miniatures of Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson, Fillmore and Mater and the third has Miniatures of Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart). In addition to The Big River I also checked out "Be in Pig Latin" (That's Ebay for those of you in Rio Linda!

) and found unopened copies of Volume Four of Speed Racer going for $15.00 up. Nether site had any mention of the other two sets.

PS. Tonight I watched Rocketship X-M instead of Meteorites since it's a used copy.

Very cool! That's a good deal! I heard of two of those movies you listed! For a dollar you can't beat getting 5 movies!

I wish we had kept our VCR. I'm seeing on Amazon movies I'd like to have that are on VHS and aren't on DVD!
