Default Do you like the episode "Jack The Ripper"?

If so, what do you like about it?

Why don't you try describing the episode? What are you even talking about?

Here you go:

Jack has been feeling walked on by Furley, Dean Travers, and the girls lately, so he takes an "assertiveness training course". It works too well, and Jack becomes aggressive and unbearable, causing a dispute with Mr. Furley to become an angry shouting match. Jack and Furley realize they have been taking the same course, and Jack chooses to go back to his old ways, but not to let people push him around.

^^^^ Thanks for the info, Max. I thought the episode was okay, but I did not like that dumb psychologist who told Jack that he should act like a big elephant. And then the barking thing was ridiculous. I think Furley saw the psychologist because he was tired of being pushed around by Lana. When Jack and Furley were barking at each other, I did like how Janet started laughing at them.

I see you edited your original post after I asked you to describe the episode. In the future, you should try getting it right the first time.

I re-edited it because there was nothing wrong with it in the first place.

Most fans of TC know the titles of the episodes, so i think it's time you calmed down.

Gotta love ppl who sling crap for the love of slinging crap.

Actually, I don't know most of the titles.
However, I wouldn't be taking a fit over it either.
Surely, there are more important things in this world to flip out over.

I'm not psychic, so I don't know what episode he's talking about unless he describes it. Is that too much to ask for? I don't think so, and I think you are the one who needs to calm down.

The original post is crap as it describes absolutely nothing.

BTW, not everyone knows what episode is what just by the title. OK?

^^^ A considerate person who actually DESCIBES the episode. Thank you, Mace Dolex.

JSP, was this too hard for you?

Cool

We all need to take a deep breath and calm down . I don't mean to take anybody's side or talk down to anybody because that's no way to make my point . I've always been amazed by people who can refer to an episode of a TV show by its title and know which one it is . I still wouldn't say "Most fans of Three's Company know the titles of the episodes, so I think it's time you calmed down ." The title of an episode might be posted at the beginning of an hour -- long drama, but not at the beginning of a half -- hour comedy .

I saw the episode of The Simpsons where Bart sold his soul to Milhouse and the episode where Bart and Homer got interested in the Catholic Church . I had to do some detective work to find out the titles of those episodes ( "Bart Sells His Soul" and "The Father, The Son, And The Holy Guest Star" ) . I also saw the episode of The Munsters where Herman ( Fred Gwynne ) got struck by lightning and turned into a normal human being . I had to go onto the Sitcoms Online message board and ask which episode this was ( "Just Another Pretty Face" ) . At one point, my friends were talking about the Addams Family, and I asked them "Did you ever see the episode with Lurch's mother or the episode with Lady Fingers ?" . I didn't know the titles of those episodes at the time ( "Mother Lurch Visits the Addams Family" and "Morticia Meets Royalty" ) . I got interested in the episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard that featured Boss Hogg's nephew, Jamie Hogg ( a pre -- Star Trek : The Next Generation Jonathan Frakes ) and Boss Hogg's brother, Abraham Lincoln Hogg . I didn't know the titles of those episodes for a long time ( "Mrs. Daisy Hogg" ) and ( "Baa, Baa, White Sheep" ) .

If I had asked the question " Do you like the episode 'Jack The Ripper' ?" instead of JSP, I probably would have mentioned the title of the episode, and covered all the bases with a summary of the episode as well . If I had been the first person to find his question after he asked it, I would have said "I don't know the episodes by their names . What was that episode about ?" .

Remarks like "In the future, you should try getting it right the first time ." and
"I re -- edited it because there was nothing wrong with it in the first place ." are both mighty harsh, and they usually create bad blood . It's not necessary to be defensive with each other . I've learned that when you get nasty with somebody, they get nasty right back . This website is supposed to be fun, but I seriously doubt if the harsh remarks in this thread brought anybody much pleasure . Next time somebody on Sitcoms Online gets on your last raw nerve, why don't we discuss it over pizza and Mountain Dew ? That way, we'll all go away with some good memories of the encounter .

I get it, I should be more detailed in describing the episodes I'm referring to.

However, I could just as easily say you can Google or Wikipedia the episode title I'm talking about to figure out what I mean. And as a fan of Three's Company, if you can't be bothered or don't care to do that, then I don't know why you'd want to bother replying to one of my threads. If you're going to bother to ask "what do you mean" you could just as easily look up and find out what I mean.

I like this episode when both Jack and Mr. Furley takes assertive lessons. My favorite scene is when both Jack and Mr. Furley are barking at the same time and Jane yells "heel!". I too when talking about an episode usually describe it too instead of just giving the episode title. It's more considerate.
