Default Have we gone overboard with Halloween on tv?

I hope I posted this in the right section but I have to ask is there way to many shows about halloween on now? Ex. this past Sunday, Roseanne, Beverly Hills 90210 and The Simpsons showed there Halloween episodes. I have no problem with that. The problem I have is that they are going to keep showing them. 90210 is showing the Halloween episodes again today. The Simpsons will keep showing there's all week. Roseanne hasnt yet but on Sunday, WETV, LOGO and TVLAND all showed the Halloween episodes. 3 networks showed the same episodes over and over again. So I have to ask are you sick of all these Halloween shows like I am? I understand showing them because Halloween is coming up but it seems like they are showing them constantly now.

I dont mind a bit it also gives a chance for those to catch up on repeats. Its done with movies too AMC has been showing the Halloween and Friday The 13th movies constantly.

Same thing will happen in Christmas when every TV show and movie that are holiday themed will air.

I like Halloween. I do. But I get annoyed during this time of the year that every single last sitcom has to do a Halloween episode. Wednesday night on ABC is my favorite sitcom night and you know all four of the sitcoms are going to be Halloween episodes. I just think Halloween could be a B story instead of seeing all the characters in funny clothes, and do stupid, unrealistic things. It just gets redundant. My opinion only.

Hate me, but back when I watched The Simpsons (and I did for years in the 1990's and 00's) I disliked the Halloween episodes "Treehouse Horror XXII" or whatever.

I've been watching The Simpsons since day one and I've never been a fan of the Treehouse Horror episodes. I suppose it has to do with Halloween being my least favorite holiday.

I love Halloween so naturally I love Halloween themed episodes. However, I don't usually watch any on TV---I watch my DVDs so I don't get burned out on the same reruns over and over.

I don't really celebrate Halloween, but I still love watching the Halloween TV episodes. I've already watched Bewitched, That 70's Show and Roseanne Halloween episodes from my own DVD collection. Next up is Home Improvement. Love those!

I like watching the Halloween episodes but I see your point about showing the same ones over & over again for a whole week. I'd just switch to something else if I got tired of them.

I loved the Treehouse of Horror eps, but I stopped watching The Simpsons after the 13th Season!

I prefer Christmas over Halloween...and yes, BOTH holidays serve fruitcake!

But for Halloween, It's Barmbrack!

I like all the Halloween themed shows it goes with the season. I liked A to Z the two female leads dressed as Laverne & Shirley.

My Halloween movie is Rocky Horror, but I only watch it if the year was good...this year sucked so I watched Nothing but Trouble with Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase.

When it's a good year...or okay year, I'll watch Nothing but Trouble first then Rocky Horror for a Science-Fiction Double-Feature!

Biggrin

Halloween is now behind us. Starting this Friday and lasting until Sunday, November 17 I'll be watching some War Movies in honor of those who served in our Armed Forces. From November 17 to November 26 I'll be watching Family-Friendly Movies. After that, I've already mentioned what I'll be watching.
