Can be seen in The Beverly Hillbillies episode from season 6 where Granny becomes ladies champion wrestler. Fred is his natural voice, he was also on The Lucy Show called Lucy Meets The President.

Alan Reed was great as Fred. I, too, have seen an assortment of appearances by him on various show, most notably the Hillbillies.
Henry Corden was a good voice actor, but never cared for him as Fred. At least Mr. Reed made it all the way through the 6 seasons of the series. |

I couldn’t stand Henry Corden as Fred - he was too “shouty”. As a kid, I wondered what was wrong with Fred in the Saturday morning episodes and then finally realized it was a different voice actor.
Jeff Bergman voiced Fred in some Family Guy episodes, and his Fred is a near-flawless recreation of Alan Reed’s. |

I preferred Bea Benerets Bettys voice to Gerry's voice. Also I liked Mels Barney after the first few episodes where Barney was lowered versus higher voiced. I love his little laugh.

The only one who would have been a better Fred is Gleason.
Bea did a lot of voice work, notably in the Warners shorts. She and June Foray weren't credited for much of that due to Mel Blanc's contract stipulations. I've never heard of Gerry but she wasn't too bad. Echo that on Blanc's later Barney. |
