I voted for Freaks & Geeks. I only watched it 2 or 3 times, but it was a pretty good show.

They're not listed, but I think that NewsRadio and Wings were very under-rated. I think both shows had great plots, writing, acting, and characters. I can watch them in reruns over and over again and laugh out loud every time, which is a lot more than I can say for Frasier, Friends, and Seinfeld.

Definitely Freaks and Geeks. It was a great show that was never given the chance to catch on. What a quality show compared to some of the crap the networks choose to keep around.

I think the most underrated sitcoms are the classic ones from the the 60's and 70's such as Here's Lucy, The Lucy Show, Mister Ed, Laverne & Shirley, Dennis the Menace, The Monkees, The Ann Sothern Show, The Munsters, My Mother the Car, ect. The most underrated sitcom I think is Here's Lucy (1968-1974).

Of what's on that list, I picked Futurama. Futurama is a great show with sharp, smart writing and a funny mix of characters. Lately Futurama has been better than the Simpsons (though of course it doesn't beat Simpsons when it was in its heyday).

I agree that Wings and NewsRadio are also underrated. I also think the Drew Carey Show is underrated. I don't watch it very much, but when I do, I enjoy the risks they take to bring some cutting edge weirdness to prime-time comedy (such as breaking out in song like they used to do in musicals, and their annual April Fool's contest where you have to look for all the mistakes they slip in the show).

Even though not on the polls, my underrated list of surprises include:

1. I Dream Of Jeannie
2. Rhoda
3. Odd Couple
4. WKRP In Cincinnati
5. Laverne & Shirley (California years)
6. Dennis The Menace

When L&S was in Milwaukee, many fans--myself included--enjoyed it, so I don't consider it underrated.

No doubt in my mind, Futurama. It was shoved in a horrible 6PM Sunday slot, where football would almost always pre-empt it during the fall season. Then, during the spring, they'd always pre-empt it to show a Simpsons or KOTH rerun. It was ridiculous the way FOX handled it. They hated it. I'm suprised they even allowed to air 72 episodes.
