To me, Liz got much prettier as she got a little older into the early 1960s than she was in the 1950s. But by the 1970s, she didn't look as good to me. I like her best in the 1960s. She was an absolute knockout during the 1960s.

Elizabeth Montgomery requested her hairstyle change with each new season. Her 'do in the two black-and-white seasons looked like early "beach movie" bouffants tied back like a schoolmarm, but I agree, her best-looking years were from 1968 to 1970 (wonder if she used the Kindness Instant Hairsetter she endorsed circa 1969, with its "droop-proof curls?"
). By 1971-72, she was getting too blonde and too much of the "Malibu Barbie" look!

Actually I thought her look during the 1966-67 third season was the best, particularly the last half (and also the episodes filmed in the spring of '67 but held back for S4: "Toys In Babeland", "The Safe and Sane Halloween", "Snob in the Grass"). I thought she was perfection in "The Crone of Cawdor", especially the scene in the green polka-dot dress where she subs for the secretary taking shorthand.

I actually liked her look during the 7th and 8th seasons. She looked like an ultra-groovy seventies chick with her straight hair parted down the middle. I mean, seriously, it was the seventies...she had to keep up with the times because the sixties were over.

Good point about her looking better in classic styles Alan Brady. To me Liz in the 1960s was such a classic beauty that she needed to be dressed in the most elegant, most beautiful clothes. the mod styles of the early 1970s just didn't suit her as well.
And yes, I also think she was prettiest in seasons 3 and 4, though she looked stunning in season one and parts of season two also. Yeah, Barbara Eden could definitely wear the mod styles of the late 1960s because while she was very attractive, she was not a classic beauty like Liz and Grace Kelly were. |

At least she didn't cut her hair and dye it red and wear gaudy blue eye shadow like her mother! LOL!!

Now Agnes Moorehead looked a little wild in her flaming red hair and bright colored costumes, but what better way to give an image to a mother-in-law who was truly a witch?
