Michelle Trachtenberg has been cast as founding mother Abigail Adams, TVLine has learned exclusively. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gossip Girl" vet will play the First Lady — her husband was John Adams, America’s second president — in an upcoming episode. In addition to being the second FLOTUS, Abigail was mother to future President John Quincy Adams and an early advocate of equal rights for women. In typical "Sleepy Hollow" fashion, we’ll learn that Abigail had a secret life that involved Katrina Crane.
