Crazy FOL episodes now on Amazon

I really like to watch movies on Amazon. I just discovered that they are showing episodes from Season 3. Just an FYI.... Too bad you have to pay for them even if you are a "Prime" Amazon member.

Where are they at in Season 3? I only consider until about the middle of S3 as "Classic Facts of Life". I can tolerate the rest of S3 and S4, but it goes downhill from there.

The first episode was marked 2/1981 "Give and Take". The next one is 10/81 "Growing Pains etc....There are several episodes.

Do you consider "The Four Musketeers" as classic? That one's in the latter half of season 3. I consider up to the end of season 4 as there are some strong standouts along the way: "Dearest Mommie", "A Woman's Place", "Under Pressure", "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner", and "Who's on First" from S4 are big faves of mine, and who doesn't love "Take My Finals, Please!" and "Graduation"?

The producers wrecked "The Four Musketeers" by having the girls bunk with no-name roommates who they never had any connection with, instead of rooming with their old friends Molly, Cindy, Sue Ann and Nancy. Even if they would have decided to stay with each other, the producers could have used the Lost Girls in that episode, instead choosing to use girls nobody even knew.

Don't get me started on "Graduation". Why wouldn't Nancy and Sue Ann have attended their own graduation ceremony? It makes no sense. And again we get no-name girls taking the roles that should have gone to Felice Schachter and Julie Piekarski. Not huge roles, but at least some continuity.

When I watch those episodes, I rewrite them in my head so that they make sense.

Oh true those two aren't perfect, because of the reasons you cited. But as standing on their own, they are very good episodes. And I think most FOL fans would consider "The Four Musketeers" classic just for the paint scene finale alone, lol.

For me, what I consider classic FOL are the first 4 seasons, and then I have enough interest in season 5 to warrant having that; so in a way I'm lucky they cut off individual season releases when they did, right at season 5, lol.

My problem with the 2nd half of season 3 and all of season 4?---Tootie's horrendous bowl cut!

For me, decent FOL ends after 5-01 when Eastland is abandoned. There are only a few episodes I'll watch during the bakery/store/post-store years.

Yeah, that was bad. But once Molly left the show, they had to give that cut to someone!
